The new fifth generation (5G) cellular system that is being installed in major American cities such as Dallas, Atlanta, Waco, Texas, and Sacramento will intensify the microwave radiation health risks for everyone living in those cities.
Eleven More Cities Targeted for 5G Deployment this Year
The new 5G cell systems that Verizon and AT&T are planning to install in other cities in 2018 will use shorter length microwaves than the existing 4G (fourth generation) systems. New generation cell phones will be able to communicate with either 5G or 4G microwave towers to optimize connectivity.
Copper phone lines will be replaced with 5G rooftop antennas on homes and businesses. These antennas will communicate with 5G cell towers and with the wireless equipment in homes and offices to provide phone and broadband services.
5G will be the foundation for the “smart cities” of the future.
The Safety of 5G Has Not Been Tested
The microwave frequencies that are being used in this new generation 5G system are in the 1-millimeter wave length.
The long-term health risks of these short microwaves have not been adequately tested and the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) and telecom companies are simply presuming that they are safe based on 1996 research.
New Research Reveals Harmful Effects of Cellular Systems
Research on microwave frequency radiation conducted since 1996 shows that the existing 3G and 4G cellular systems are causing serious harm to human health.
The 5G systems will increase the level of harm to the level where illness and death can no longer be denied.
Harmful Effects are Cumulative
We now know that the development of cancer, heart disease, diabetes, Alzheimer’s and numerous other diseases and disabling symptoms are linked to the cumulative effects of microwave radiation.
Cellular systems are pushing microwave radiation into our bodies and brains 24 hours a day regardless of whether we use a cell phone or even own one. [4, 5, 16]

A Million or More New 5G Towers will be Erected in American Cities
The 5G towers will be spaced approximately 500 feet apart and will be highly visible eyesores.
The “small cell” transmitters will be mounted on top of electric utility poles, municipal buildings, schools, and in city parks, on top of street signs, bus shelters, and anywhere else telecom companies wish.
In low lying areas they might need to erect new towers that are taller than electric utility poles to accomplish their objectives. Refrigerator size electrical boxes will be attached to each transmission tower.
If you happen to be in an area with underground electric service, then they will erect new towers that use the underground electrical lines.
If you live or work in a densely populated area where electrical poles are very close to buildings, then you might have a 5G cell tower located a few feet from your place of employment or your bedroom.
It is estimated that the daily microwave exposure generated by the 5G system will be equivalent to living inside a microwave oven and turning it up to high and baking yourself for 19 minutes a day.
Telecom Companies Hold the Upper Hand on 5G Tower Placement
FCC regulations make it illegal for government entities to try to delay or stop cell tower installation on the basis of health risks.
Telecom companies can sue cities and states that attempt to use health concerns to impede their cell tower building plans.
How Harmful is 5G? Can We Stop It?

Long-term Microwave Exposure Equals Extreme Harm
The bottom line in microwave frequency radiation exposure is, “The longer the exposure, the more deadly the cumulative effects.”
In 2011, Professor Karl Hecht from the International Research Center of Healthy and Ecological Technology in Germany reported three distinct phases of illness caused by microwave radiation.
During the first phase, lasting up to 3 years, the living organism struggles to cope and compensate for the exposure to microwaves.
They may experience numerous symptoms and may be aware of illness indicators, but aren’t able to fix their problems unless they stop the exposure.
3 to 5 years of Microwave Exposure
Professor Hecht described the damage that occurs during the second phase of exposure – 3 to 5 years of microwave irradiation. He stated:
During this second phase, chronically irradiated people develop weakly visible, pathological neurasthenic symptoms with vagotonic reaction tendencies.
This means overactivity or irritability of the vagus nerve, adversely affecting function of the blood vessels, stomach, and muscles. It also means that the parasympathetic autonomic system is overactive, while sleep disorders and daytime tiredness are common.
Neurasthenic symptoms involve: poor appetite or overeating, insomnia or hypersomnia, low energy and fatigue, low-self esteem, poor concentration, difficulty making decisions and feelings of hopelessness.
In its most severe form, this phase may include a chronic disturbance of mood called dysthymia (depressive neurosis) in which a depressive mood accompanies the other physiological features listed here.
This might explain why millions of Americans need anti-depressant drugs and illegal narcotics to cope with their radiation-induced depressive symptoms.
By this end of this stage, the systemic damage may be irreversible, even if the radiation exposure ceases.
5 years or more of Microwave Exposure
According to Professor Hecht, during the third Phase (5 years or more), the body degenerates into exhaustion and severe states of disease. He stated:
This final degenerative phase produces pronounced neurasthenic symptoms with increasing pathological lapses of the regulation system, sleep disorders, daytime tiredness, and general exhaustion.
People who have progressed to this phase suffer a dramatic increase in chronic illnesses and elevated cancer incidence.

A 2016 study by researchers at Emory University confirms that over one half of the US adult population is now chronically ill: “The health of individuals is increasingly being defined by complexity and multi-morbidity, the co-occurrence of two or more chronic medical conditions.”

Russian Studies Revealed Microwave Harm Long Before the FCC Adopted Its Regulations
Professor Hecht evaluated nearly 900 studies from Russian sources, which demonstrated the harmful effects of microwave technology.
The Russian research took place between 1960 and 1996 — long before the 3G and 4G cellular systems were built.

The FCC Says we have Nothing to Fear
This is the logic followed by the FCC to ensure safety — as long as the transmission of cell towers don’t exceed the microwave radiation levels they set and cell phones don’t exceed FCC standards, then the towers and phones are safe.
They have decreed that 3G and 4G towers operate at safe levels, therefore, the new 5G towers are also safe, because they use less powerful transmitters.
The FCC isn’t taking into account the proximity of transmitters and the biological effects of the shorter wave lengths. It is as if they believe that a tower that is 30 feet away from a person is less harmful than a tower that is 20 miles away.
It is as if they believe very short microwaves in the gigahertz range are less harmful than longer microwaves in the megahertz range.
Both beliefs are false!
Instead of focusing on long-term and cumulative effects of microwave radiation exposure, the FCC keeps talking about the heating effects of cell phones. [6, 7]
It is not the heating of body tissue that should be our major concern. It is the 24-hour – 7-days a week – 365-days per year exposure to microwave frequency radiation that is literally the killer.
Public Entities that Delay 5G Implementation can be Sued
1996 FCC regulation permit telecom companies to sue any municipality or state that prohibits the implementation of cellular service on the basis of health.
New FCC regulations adopted in 2017 have further weakened the opportunity to resist the plans of telecom companies to implement wireless systems for other reasons.
President Trump has even signed an executive order permitting 5G towers on public lands to fulfill the national priority of building the fastest cellular system in the world. [10]
Telecom companies are planning to implement the 5G system in every major city in America by the end of 2020. As it stands right now, they have the right to do so regardless of health concerns.
Telecom Companies Seek State Regulations to Give Them Even Greater Freedom!
Telecom companies are currently working in most states to establish rules that will give them complete freedom to implement their 5G systems.
They want statewide legislation that will prevent municipal governments or planning boards from delaying their 5G building program because of aesthetic concerns or zoning conditions.
Telecom Companies simply want to inform municipalities of their plans and then start putting up cell towers.
Some States are Not Caving in to Telecom
Not all states are rolling over and playing dead. Some are trying to maintain some level of authority with respect to the 5G rollout.
Sadly, however, the issue of health is a low priority, because of potential lawsuits from telecom companies.

California is Fighting 50,000 New 5G Cell Towers Linked to Cancer Risk
Summary: Are Technological Advances such as Driverless Cars and Instant Downloads of Movies more Valuable than Increases of Disease and Premature Death?
Believe it or not, some research continues to show that microwaves are harmless. A 2017 study showed that when human skin cells in a culture were exposed to varying frequencies of microwaves for 3 hours, 70 hours, and 96 hours there were no changes.
These are the kinds of silly studies that the FCC and Telecom companies use to prove 5G safety.
They would have observed damage if the scientists had looked at the right kinds of cells. T-cells and B-cells are highly sensitive and many will die after 8 hours of microwave exposure. They also might have found damage if they did a very close look at the DNA in their cells. [16]
The 4G system is actually still being enhanced and improved even while the 5G system is being installed and promoted. It is debatable whether the new 5G system will provide any more benefit to the average consumer than the current 4G system. [13]
The cost of 5G service should not be measured by the dollars invested by telecom companies to build their systems.
It must be measured in terms of the destruction of human health.
Are the promised technological advances such as driverless cars and instant downloads of movies more valuable than the occurrence of disease and premature death that these systems will cause?

„Was meinen Sie mit „Handwerk des Denkens“?
Rainer Mausfeld: Zum Handwerkszeug des Denkens gehören auch die in der Aufklärung verfeinerten Methoden, durch die sich unbewusste und oftmals tief verborgene politische Vorurteile aufdecken lassen. Somit gehört auch die Ideologiekritik zur Denkmethodologie. Politische Indoktrination zielt ja gerade darauf, in uns die Art von Vorurteilen zu erzeugen, die dazu beitragen, den Status der Machtausübenden zu stabilisieren. Da also Ideologiekritik stets Machtkritik ist, kann man nicht erwarten, dass dies bei den jeweils Mächtigen auf Begeisterung stößt.
Nun ist, wie der große Demokratietheoretiker Sheldon Wolin treffend feststellte, in unseren kapitalistischen Demokratien jede Form von Dissens erlaubt oder als Revolutionsprophylaxe sogar erwünscht, solange der Dissens politisch unwirksam bleibt. Zur Eingrenzung, Neutralisierung und Ächtung von unerwünschtem Dissens gibt es ein großes Spektrum an erprobten Möglichkeiten eines Dissensmanagements.
Methoden und Funktionsweisen eines Dissensmanagements können wir besser verstehen, wenn wir statt auf Personen auf seine strukturellen Eigenschaften fokussieren. Zu diesen gut untersuchten und seit langem bekannten strukturellen Eigenschaften gehört es, dass in allen Machtstrukturen besonders Journalisten, Intellektuelle und Wissenschaftler, die in gesellschaftsrelevanten Bereichen arbeiten, eine Tendenz aufweisen, sich wie Eisenspäne in den Kraftfeldern der Macht auszurichten.
Folglich finden sich in allen Machtstrukturen gerade unter Personen, die über besondere Möglichkeiten verfügen, sich in eine öffentliche Debatte einzubringen, bereitwillige Vertreter, die gleichsam als Bannwarte der Macht agieren und in vorauseilendem Opportunismus alles, was sie für einen unzulässigen Dissens halten, mit Diffamierungsbegriffen belegen.
Da sie auf diese Weise den in Politik und Medien Mächtigen bezeugen, dass sie die herrschende Ideologie tief internalisiert haben, werden sie dafür vor allem im journalistischen und akademischen Bereich oft mit entsprechenden Karrierechancen belohnt. Diese Mechanismen eines Dissensmanagements in kapitalistischen Demokratien sind seit langem wohlbekannt.
Das heißt, Vorwürfe wie „geschlossenes Weltbild“ oder „Verschwörungstheorie“ kommen für Sie nicht gerade unerwartet?“

Sprache als Herrschaftsinstrument
Damit sind wir schon mitten im Thema – die Rolle der Sprache. Sie sagen: „Wer die Sprache beherrscht, also die Begrifflichkeiten und Kategorien, in denen wir über gesellschaftlich-politische Phänomene nachdenken und sprechen, hat wenig Mühe, auch uns zu beherrschen.“ Da fallen einem schnell beliebte Vokabeln wie „Populismus“ oder eben „Verschwörungstheorie“ ein – Worte, die das Denken beschränken und mit denen bestimmte Ansichten für indiskutabel erklärt werden. Was zur Frage führt: Kann eine Gesellschaft, die ihr eigenes Denken zunehmend beschränkt, überhaupt noch kluge Entscheidungen treffen?
Rainer Mausfeld: Politischer Kampf bedeutet stets Kampf um Definitionsmacht und um die Aneignung von Wörtern. Daher ist Sprache in der Tat neben Panzern das wichtigste Herrschaftsinstrument. Da Demokratien die Möglichkeiten eines Einsatzes physischer Gewalt begrenzen, sind die Machtausübenden darauf angewiesen, die Stabilität von Machtverhältnissen auf anderen Wegen zu sichern. Über die Sprache lässt sich dies besonders wirkungsvoll bewerkstelligen. Beispielsweise über eine orwellsche Neubestimmung sehr grundlegender Begriffe wie Freiheit und Demokratie oder auch durch das riesige Vokabular von neoliberalen Falschwörtern wie Liberalisierung, Globalisierung, Deregulierung oder Reform.
Über die Sprache lassen sich auch ganze ideologische Denk- und Erklärungsrahmen vermitteln, die wir dann meist unbewusst zur Einbettung unserer täglichen politischen Erfahrungen verwenden. Etwa die Rahmenerzählung einer „westlichen Wertegemeinschaft“ – ein für ihre Millionen Opfer besonders folgenschweres Beispiel. Diese ideologischen Rahmenerzählungen werden durch ein breites Spektrum an politischem Kampfvokabular gegen Einwände abgesichert. Gegenwärtig haben dabei vor allem die Begriffe Populismus und Verschwörungstheorie Hochkonjunktur, mit denen sich der neoliberale „Fanatismus der Mitte“ – übrigens ein Begriff, den der bedeutende Verfassungsrechtler Helmut Ridder schon 1979 verwendete – als alternativlos zu deklarieren sucht.“

„Wie schätzen Sie die heutige Verwendung des Begriffes „Populismus“ denn ein?
Rainer Mausfeld: Man muss sich nur die Wahlplakate der jeweiligen Regierungsparteien der vergangenen, sagen wir, 40 Jahre ansehen, um den Beitrag zu erkennen, der hier zur Komplexitätsvermittlung geleistet wurde. Die heute mit dem Populismusvorwurf belegten politischen Erscheinungsformen kann man wohl als eine Art Nemesis – also sozusagen als ausgleichende Gerechtigkeit – für die grundlegende Verachtung des Volkes verstehen, die kennzeichnend für alle Eliten westlicher Demokratien ist.
Diese Verachtung des Volkes entlädt sich nun mit populistischer Wucht und Unberechenbarkeit, oft auf der Basis von Affekten, die zu den dunklen Seiten der menschlichen Natur gehören. Bei diesen Affekten handelt es sich oft um Abwehraffekte gegen die eigenen Gefühle politischer Ohnmacht, die sich nun vor allem gegen die sozial Schwächsten entladen. Diese Gefühle politischer Ohnmacht, das sollten wir nicht vergessen, wurden und werden seit Jahrzehnten in sehr systematischer Weise erzeugt, um das Volk von einer politischen Partizipation fernzuhalten.
Können Sie das erläutern?
Rainer Mausfeld: Die neoliberale Phantom-Mitte betreibt seit Jahrzehnten ein Umverteilungsprojekt, das gegen die Mehrheit der Bevölkerung gerichtet ist. Dieses neoliberale Projekt ist nur möglich, wenn zuvor die in langen Jahrzehnten mühsam gewonnene demokratische Substanz abgebaut oder zumindest neutralisiert wird. Die Entmachtung der Legislative, also des Parlaments, durch die Exekutive ist nur ein, wenn auch ein besonders folgenschwerer Aspekt. Eine so massiv gegen die Interessen der Mehrzahl der Bevölkerung gerichtete Politik kann der Bevölkerung auf die Dauer trotz massiver Indoktrinationsbemühungen nicht verborgen bleiben.
Es ist also wenig überraschend, dass immer mehr Menschen die Brüche zwischen Ideologie und Realität erkennen. Entsprechend erhöhen sich in der Bevölkerung das Misstrauen in die politischen Institutionen, das Empörungspotential und damit das Veränderungsbedürfnis. Die neoliberale Phantom-Mitte benötigt daher zur Sicherung ihrer Macht den von ihr wesentlich mithervorgebrachten Rechtspopulismus. Ja, sie ist mittlerweile geradezu symbiotisch auf ihn angewiesen, weil sie ihn als Mittel zur Angsterzeugung benötigt, um mit dieser Drohkulisse das wachsende Veränderungsbedürfnis der Bevölkerung in „alternativlosen“ Bahnen zu halten. So geben sich also de facto die Täter als Retter aus.
Und wie sieht es mit den allgegenwärtigen „Verschwörungstheorien“ aus?
Rainer Mausfeld: Der politische Kampfbegriff der Verschwörungstheorie lässt sich noch kürzer abhandeln. Er ist jenseits einiger oberflächlich-deskriptiver Aspekte ohne jede ernsthafte intellektuelle Substanz und erschöpft sich weitgehend in seiner ideologischen Verwendung als Diffamierungsbegriff. Das hat freilich den Vorteil, dass sich die intellektuellen und journalistischen Bannwarte der Macht leicht daran erkennen lassen, dass sie großzügigen Gebrauch von ihm und anderem staatlich anerkannten Diffamierungsvokabular machen.
Wenn nun mit einem solchen Kampfvokabular der öffentliche Debattenraum gezielt beschränkt wird, so bedeutet dies, dass die für die drängenden und auch bedrohlichen politischen Probleme der Gegenwart erforderlichen Lösungsoptionen den politischen Entscheidungsträgern de facto nicht mehr zur Verfügung stehen. Folglich geht es für sie nur darum, sich einer demokratischen Verantwortung für die Folgen ihrer Politik zu entziehen und ihre Macht zu stabilisieren, also um die Fortsetzung gerade der politischen Maßnahmen, die erst zu den neoliberalen Zerstörungen unserer sozialen und ökologischen Lebensgrundlagen geführt haben.“

„Illusion des Informiertseins“

„Rainer Mausfeld: Viele Täuschungen und Illusionen, die sich auch für Zwecke der politischen Indoktrination nutzen lassen, beruhen auf Eigenschaften und Designprinzipien unseres Geistes. Die ihnen zugrunde liegenden internen Mechanismen sind weitgehend gegen introspektive Einblicke abgeschottet, so dass derartige Täuschungen auch dann noch funktionieren, wenn man uns darüber aufgeklärt hat, dass es Täuschungen sind.
Beispielsweise steigt in vielen Kontexten tendenziell der gefühlte Wahrheitsgehalt einer tatsächlich falschen Aussage, je häufiger sie dargeboten wird, ein Effekt der massiv erhöht wird, wenn die Aussage aus vermeintlich unabhängigen Quellen wiederholt wird. Beispielsweise, wenn wir zur Ukraine oder zu Syrien morgens den Deutschlandfunk hören, dann die Süddeutsche lesen und uns abends noch die Tagesschau ansehen. Selbst dann, wenn wir uns dieses Effektes bewusst, sind wir ihm immer wieder erlegen, unabhängig davon, ob wir Experten oder Laien sind. Auch die Illusion des Informiertseins gehört hierzu. Wir alle sind gleichermaßen anfällig für sie.“

„Rainer Mausfeld: Der Grund ist recht banal: Zu diesen Schichten gehören diejenigen, die am längsten die Ausbildungsinstitutionen einer Gesellschaft durchlaufen haben und entsprechende Karrierefilter, sei es im Journalismus oder im akademischen Bereich, passiert haben. Ausbildungsinstitutionen einer Gesellschaft verkörpern jedoch ebenso wie die Karrierefilter in ideologierelevanten Berufen gerade die Kernideologien einer Gesellschaft – das ist eine soziologische Binsenwahrheit.
Folglich weisen zu allen Zeiten tendenziell gerade die sogenannten gebildeten Schichten einen besonders hohen Grad ideologischer Indoktrination auf; zugleich haben sie diese Indoktrination so tief internalisiert, dass sie sie gar nicht mehr als Indoktrination bemerken und, wie die Bewohner der Höhle in Platons Höhlengleichnis, ausgesprochen aggressiv reagieren, wenn sie darauf hingewiesen werden. Da sie sich kontinuierlich untereinander in ihren ideologischen Perspektiven bestärken, erhöht sich nach dem genannten Effekt der subjektive Wahrheitswert ihrer Meinungen und Haltungen, so dass es für sie oftmals im Wortsinne gar nicht mehr denkbar ist, dass es sich bei ihren Meinungen und Haltungen um ideologische Stabilisierungen von Machtverhältnissen handelt.“
