    Abstract
    Air pollution is a risk factor for cardiovascular and Alzheimer’s disease (AD). Iron-rich, strongly magnetic, combustion- and friction-derived nanoparticles (CFDNPs) are abundant in particulate air pollution. Metropolitan Mexico City (MMC) young residents have abundant brain CFDNPs associated with AD pathology. We aimed to identify if magnetic CFDNPs are present in urbanites‘ hearts and associated with cell damage. We used magnetic analysis and transmission electron microscopy (TEM) to identify heart CFDNPs and measured oxidative stress (cellular prion protein, PrPC), and endoplasmic reticulum (ER) stress (glucose regulated protein, GRP78) in 72 subjects age 23.8 ± 9.4y: 63 MMC residents, with Alzheimer Continuum vs 9 controls. Magnetite/maghemite nanoparticles displaying the typical rounded crystal morphologies and fused surface textures of CFDNPs were more abundant in MMC residents‘ hearts. NPs, ∼2–10 × more abundant in exposed vs controls, were present inside mitochondria in ventricular cardiomyocytes, in ER, at mitochondria-ER contact sites (MERCs), intercalated disks, endothelial and mast cells. Erythrocytes were identified transferring ‘hitchhiking’ NPs to activated endothelium. Magnetic CFDNP concentrations and particle numbers ranged from 0.2 to 1.7 μg/g and ∼2 to 22 × 109/g, respectively. Co-occurring with cardiomyocyte NPs were abnormal mitochondria and MERCs, dilated ER, and lipofuscin. MMC residents had strong left ventricular PrPC and bi-ventricular GRP78 up-regulation.
    The health impact of up to ∼22 billion magnetic NPs/g of ventricular tissue are likely reflecting the combination of surface charge, ferrimagnetism, and redox activity, and includes their potential for disruption of the heart’s electrical impulse pathways, hyperthermia and alignment and/or rotation in response to magnetic fields. Exposure to solid NPs appears to be directly associated with early and significant cardiac damage. Identification of strongly magnetic CFDNPs in the hearts of children and young adults provides an important novel layer of information for understanding CVD pathogenesis emphasizing the urgent need for prioritization of particulate air pollution control.

    Alle Altersgruppen sind betroffen
    Die Forschenden stellten bereits im Jahr 2016 fest, dass dieselben Nanopartikel im menschlichen Gehirn vorhanden waren und mit Alzheimer-ähnlichen Schäden in Verbindung gebracht werden können. Auch bei dieser Krankheit war der statistische Zusammenhang mit der Luftverschmutzung bereits bekannt. Alle Altersgruppen sind von den negativen Auswirkungen der Luftverschmutzung betroffen, aber speziell die Auswirkungen auf Kinder sind besorgniserregend, erklären die Autoren. Bei jungen Menschen wurden Beweise für eine bereits sehr früh eintretende Schädigung sowohl im Herzen als auch im Gehirn festgestellt.
    Luftverschmutzung kann zu Diabetes und Fehlgeburten führen
    Ein kürzlich veröffentlichter umfassender Bericht kam zu dem Schluss, dass Luftverschmutzung jedem Organ und praktisch jeder Zelle des menschlichen Körpers schaden kann, wenn winzige Partikel eingeatmet werden, in die Blutbahn gelangen und durch den Körper transportiert werden. Ausgelöste Schäden können von Diabetes über eingeschränkte Intelligenz bis hin zu vermehrten Fehlgeburten reichen. Die neue Forschungsarbeit ist der erste direkte Beweis dafür, dass eisenreiche Nanopartikel Herzkrankheiten verursachen können. Aus Labortests war bereits bekannt, dass winzige Partikel die menschlichen Zellen ernsthaft schädigen. Wenn eine Fülle von eisenreichen Nanopartikeln direkt in die subzellulären Bestandteile des Herzmuskelgewebes eindringt, schädigen die Partikel dort die sogenannten Mitochondrien – die Energiekraftwerke der Zellen.“

    Herzgewebe von 63 jungen Menschen wurde untersucht
    Bei der Studie wurde das Herzgewebe von 63 jungen Menschen analysiert, welche bei Verkehrsunfällen ums Leben gekommen waren, dabei aber kein Brusttrauma erlitten hatten. Diese Personen hatten ein Durchschnittsalter von 25 Jahren und stammten aus Mexiko-Stadt, wo bekanntlich eine hohe Luftverschmutzung vorliegt. Bei der Untersuchung wurde die Anzahl der vorhandenen eisenreichen Nanopartikel berechnet und ihre Position innerhalb des Gewebes und damit verbundene Schäden analysiert. Die Anzahl der gefundenen Partikel lag zwischen 2bn und 22bn pro Gramm getrocknetes Gewebe und ihre Anwesenheit war bei den Bewohnern von Mexiko-Stadt zwei- bis zehnmal höher als bei neun Kontrollpersonen, die an weniger belasteten Orten gelebt hatten.
    Partikel enthalten wahrscheinlich noch andere toxische Verbindungen
    Die Forschenden berichteten, dass die Exposition gegenüber Nanopartikeln direkt mit frühen und signifikanten Herzschäden verbunden zu sein scheint. Die Ergebnisse seien für alle Länder relevant, weil es absolut keinen Grund zu der Annahme gibt, dass die Auswirkungen in anderen Städten mit hoher Luftverschmutzung anders ausfallen würden, fügen die Autoren hinzu. Die zur Lokalisierung der Nanopartikel im Herzgewebe verwendete Technik konnte nicht zur Messung ihrer genauen Zusammensetzung verwendet werden. Stattdessen trennten die Forschenden die Partikel vom Gewebe, um ihre Zusammensetzung und ihren magnetischen Gehalt zu bestimmen, dann verwendeten sie die durchschnittliche Größe und den Magnetismus der Partikel, um die Gesamtzahl abzuschätzen. Basierend auf früheren Forschungsarbeiten ist davon auszugehen, dass die Partikel wahrscheinlich auch zusätzliche toxische Verunreinigungen enthalten. (as)“

    Unfortunately, there are two subjects that we are never permitted to discuss with any seriousness: race and religion, and how our attitudes toward the first are rooted in the second. Thanks to this sternly — correctly? — enforced taboo, we are never able to get to the root of our problems. We are like people born in a cage and unable to visualize any world beyond our familiar bars of prejudice and superstition. That Opinion the Few create in order to control the Many has seen to it that we are kept in permanent ignorance of our actual estate. Even so, a number of prisoners are testing the bars.     A political analyst wrote at the time of the New Hampshire primary that the two irrelevant candidates for President this year, Jerry Brown and Pat Buchanan, should leave the field to the heavyweights — like Bush and Clinton. Brown and Buchanan were the only substantive, relevant and representative — in the best and worst senses — candidates on display. So let us brood on them and what it is that they represent in the way of race and religion, the two root issues.
    The word „radical“ derives from the Latin word for root. Therefore, if you want to get to the root of anything you must be radical. It is no accident that the word has now been totally demonized by our masters, and no one in politics dares even use the word favorably, much less track any problem to its root. But then a ruling class that was able to demonize the word „liberal“ in the past ten years is a master at controlling — indeed stifling — any criticism of itself. „Liberal“ comes from the Latin liberalis, which means pertaining to a free man. In politics, to be liberal is to want to extend democracy through change and reform. One can see why that word had to be erased from our political lexicon.
    Meanwhile, the word „isolationist“ has been revived to describe those who would like to put an end to the national security state that replaced our Republic a half-century ago while extending the American military empire far beyond our capacity to pay for it. The word was trotted out this year to describe Pat Buchanan, when he was causing great distress to the managers of our national security state by saying that America must abandon the empire if we are ever to repair the mess at home. Also, as a neo-isolationist, Buchanan must be made to seem an anti-Semite. This is not hard to do. Buchanan is a classic Archie Bunker type, seething with irrational prejudices and resentments, whose origin I’ll get to presently.
    The country is now dividing, as it did a half-century ago, between those who think that America comes first versus those who favor empire and the continued exertion of force everywhere in the name of democracy, something not much on display here at home. In any case, as the whole world is, more or less, a single economic unit in which the United States is an even smaller component, there are no isolationists today. But the word games go on and the reversals of meaning are always a sign that our corporate masters are worried that the people are beginning to question their arrangements. Many things are now coming into focus. The New York Times promptly dismissed Buchanan as a minor irritant, which was true, but it ignored his potentially major constituency — those who now believe that it was a mistake to have wasted, since 1950, most the government’s revenues on war.
    Jerry Brown alarmed the Times even more than Buchanan did. There was the possibility that he could be elected. More important, he might actually change our politics in the sense of who pays for whom. In a sudden frenzy, the Times compared him to [Argentine dictator Juan] Peron — our Jerry? — a dangerous demagogue whose „sharp edged anger…resonates among a variety Americans.“ Plainly, the ownership of the country is frightened that the current hatred of politicians, in general, may soon be translated into hatred of that corporate few who control the many through Opinion, as manufactured by the Times, among others.
    Now to the root of the matter. The great unmentionable evil at the center of our culture is monotheism. From a barbaric Bronze Age text known as the Old Testament, three anti-human religions have evolved — Judaism, Christianity, Islam. These are sky-god religions. They are, literally, patriarchal — God is the omnipotent father — hence the loathing of women for 2,000 years in those countries afflicted by the sky-god and his earthly male delegates. The sky-god is a jealous god, of course. He requires total obedience from everyone on earth, as he is in place not for just one tribe but for all creation. Those who would reject him must be converted or killed for their own good. Ultimately, totalitarianism is the only sort of politics that can truly serve the sky-god’s purpose. Any movement of a liberal nature endangers his authority and that of his delegates on earth. One God, one King, one Pope, one master in the factory, one father-leader in the family home.
    The founders of the United States were not enthusiasts of the sky-god. Many, like Jefferson, rejected him altogether and placed man at the center of the world. The young Lincoln wrote a pamphlet against Christianity, which friends persuaded him to burn. Needless to say, word got around about both Jefferson and Lincoln and each had to cover his tracks. Jefferson said he was a deist, which could mean anything or nothing, while Lincoln, hand on heart and tongue in cheek, said he could not support for office anyone who „scoffed“ at religion.
    From the beginning, sky-godders have always exerted great pressure in our secular republic. Also, evangelical Christian groups have traditionally drawn strength from the suppressed. African slaves were allowed to organize heavenly sky-god churches, as a surrogate for earthly freedom. White churches were organised in order to make certain that the rights of property were respected and that the numerous religious taboos in the New and Old Testaments would be enforced, if necessary, by civil law. The ideal to which John Adams subscribed — that we should be a nation of laws, not of men — was quickly subverted when the churches forced upon everyone, through supposedly neutral and just laws, their innumerable taboos on sex, alcohol, gambling. We are now indeed a nation of laws, mostly bad and certainly anti-human.
    Roman Catholic migrations in the last century further re-enforced the Puritan sky-god. The Church has also put itself on a collision course with the Bill of Rights when it asserts as it always has, that „error has no rights.“ The last correspondence between John Adams and Thomas Jefferson expressed their alarm that the Jesuits were to be allowed into the United States. Although the Jews were sky-god folk, they followed Book One, not Book Two, so they have no mission to convert others; rather the reverse. Also, as they have been systematically demonized by the Christian sky-godders, they tended to be liberal and so turned not to their temple but to the A.C.L.U. Unfortunately, the recent discovery that the sky-god, in his capacity as realtor, had given them, in perpetuity, some parcels of unattractive land called Judea and Samaria has, in my mind, unhinged many of them. I hope this is temporary.
    In the First Amendment to the Constitution the Founders made it clear that this was not to be a sky-god nation with a national religion like that of England, from whom we had just separated. It is curious how little understood this amendment is — yes, everyone has a right to worship any god he chooses but he does not have the right to impose his beliefs on others who do not happen to share in his superstitions and taboos. This separation was absolute in our original Republic. But the sky-godders do not give up easily. In the 1950s they actually got the phrase „In God We Trust“ onto the currency, in direct violation of the First Amendment.
    Although many of the Christian evangelists feel it necessary to convert everyone on earth to their primitive religion, they have been prevented — so far — from forcing others to worship as they do but they have forced — most tyrannically and wickedly — their superstitions and hatreds upon all of us through the civil law and through general prohibitions. So it is upon account that I now favor an all-out war on the monotheists.
    Let us dwell on the evils they have wrought. The hatred of blacks comes straight from their Bad Book. As descendants of Ham, blacks are forever accursed, while Saint Paul tells the slaves to obey their masters. Racism is in the marrow of the bone of the true believer. For him, black is forever inferior to white and deserves whatever ill fortune may come his way. The fact that some monotheists can behave charitably means, often, that their prejudice is at so deep a level that they are not aware it is there at all. In the end, this makes any radical change of attitude impossible. Meanwhile, welfare has been the price the sky-godders were willing to pay to exclude blacks from their earthly political system. So we must live — presumably forever — with a highly enervating race war, set in train by the One God and his many hatreds.
    Patriarchal rage at the though of Woman ever usurping Man’s place at the helm, in either home or workplace, is almost as strong now as it ever was. According to the polls at the time of the hearing, most American women took the word of [then-nominee to the US Supreme Court] Clarence Thomas against Anita Hill [who testified against Thomas’s appointment]. But then the sky-god’s fulminations against women are still very much part of the psyche of those in thrall to the Jealous God.
    The ongoing psychopathic hatred of same-sexuality has made the United States the laughingstock of the civilized world. In most of the First World, monotheism is weak. Where it is weak or nonexistent, private sexual behavior has nothing to do at all with those not involved, much less the law. At least when the Emperor Justinian, a sky-god man, decided to outlaw sodomy, he had to come up with a good practical reason, which he did. It is well known, Justinian declared, that buggery is a principal cause of earthquakes, and so must be prohibited. But our sky-godders, always eager to hate, still quote Leviticus, as if that loony text had anything useful to say about anything except, perhaps, the inadvisability of eating shellfish in the Jerusalem area.
    We are now, slowly, becoming alarmed at the state of the planet. For a century, we have been breeding like a virus under optimum conditions, and now the virus has begun to attack its host, the earth. The lower atmosphere is filled with dust, we have just been told from our satellites in space. Climate changes; earth and water are poisoned. Sensible people grow alarmed, but sky-godders are serene, even smug. The planet is just a staging area for heaven. Why bother to clean it up? Unfortunately for everyone, George Bush’s only hope of winning in the coming election is to appeal to the superstitious. So at Rio [in 1992 at the Earth Summit] he refused to commit our government to the great cleanup, partly because it would affect the incomes of the 100 corporate men and women who pay for him but largely because of the sky-god, who told his slaves to „be fruitful and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it, and have dominion…over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.“ Well, we did just like you told us, massa. We’ve used everything up. We’re ready for heaven now. Or maybe Mars will do.
    Ordinarily, as a descendant of the eighteenth-century Enlightenment, which shaped our Republic, I would say live and let live and I would try not to „scoff“ — to use Lincoln’s verb — at the monotheists. But I am not allowed to ignore them. They won’t let me. They are too busy. They have a divine mission to take away our rights as private citizens. We are forbidden abortion here, gambling there, same-sex almost everywhere, drugs, alcohol in a dry county. Our prisons are the most terrible and the most crowded in the First World. Our death row executions are a source of deep disgust in civilized countries, where more and more we are regarded as a primitive, uneducated and dangerous people. Although we are not allowed, under law, to kill ourselves or to take drugs that good folk think might be bad for us, we are allowed to buy a handgun and shoot as many people as we can get away with.
    Of course, as poor Arthur (There is This Pendulum) Schlesinger Jr. would say, these things come in cycles. Every twenty years liberal gives way to conservative, and back again. But I suggest that what is wrong now is not cyclic but systemic. And our system, like any system, is obeying the second law of thermodynamics. Everything is running down; and we are well advanced along the yellow brick road to entropy. I don’t think much of anything can be done to halt this progress under our present political-economic system. We lost poor Arthur’s pendulum in 1950 when our original Constitution was secretly replaced with the apparatus of the national security state, which still wastes most of our tax money on war related matters. Hence deteriorating schools, and so on.
    Another of our agreed-upon fantasies is that we do not have a class system in the United States. The Few who control the Many though Opinion have simply made themselves invisible. They have convinced us that we are a classless society in which anyone can make it. Ninety percent of the stories in the pop press are about winners of lotteries or poor boys and girls who, despite adenoidal complaint, become overnight millionaire singers. So there is still hope, the press tells the folks, for the 99 percent who will never achieve wealth no matter how hard they work. We are also warned at birth that it is not polite to hurt people’s feelings by criticizing their religion, even if that religion may be damaging everyone through the infiltration of our common laws.
    Happily, the few cannot disguise the bad times through which we are all going. Word is spreading that America is now falling behind in the civilization sweepstakes. So isn’t it time to discuss what we all really think about our social and economic arrangements?
    Although we may not discuss race other than to say that Jesus wants each and every one of us for a sunbeam, history is nothing more than the bloody record of the migration of tribes. When the white race broke out of Europe 500 years ago, it did many astounding things all over the globe. Inspired by a raging sky-god, the whites were able to pretend that their conquests were in order to bring the One God to everyone, particularly those with older and subtler religions. Now the tribes are on the move again.
    Professor Pendulum is having a nervous breakdown because so many different tribes are being drawn to this sweet land of liberty and, thus far, there is no indication that any of the new arrivals intends ever to read The age of Jackson. I think the taking in of everyone can probably be overdone. There may not be enough jobs for very many more immigrants, though what prosperity we have ever enjoyed in the past was usually based on slave or near-slave labor.
    On the other hand, I think Asians, say, are a plus culturally, and their presence tends to refocus, somewhat, the relentless white versus black war. Where I am as one with friend Pendulum is that the newcomers must grasp certain principles as expressed in the Declaration of Independence and the Bill of Rights. Otherwise, we shall become a racially divided totalitarian state enjoying a Brazilian economy.
    To revert to the unmentionable, religion. It should be noted that religion seemed to be losing its hold in the United States in the second quarter of this century. From the Scopes trial in ’25 to the repeal of Prohibition in ’33, the sky-godders were confined pretty much to the backwoods. Then television was invented and the electronic pulpit was soon occupied by a horde of Elmer Gantrys, who took advantage of the tax exemption for religion. Thus, out of greed, a religious revival has been set in motion and the results are predictably poisonous to the body politic.
    It is usual, on the rare occasions when essential problems are addressed, to exhort everyone to be kinder, gentler. To bring us together, O Lord, in our common humanity. Well, we have heard these exhortations for a couple of hundred years and we are further apart than ever. So instead of coming together in order that the many might be one, I say let us separate so that each will know where he stands. From the one, many, and each of us free of the sky-god as secular lawgiver. I preach, to put it bluntly, confrontation.
    Brown and Buchanan, whether they knew it or not, were revealing two basic, opposing political movements. Buchanan speaks for the party of God — the sky-god with his terrible hatred of women, blacks, gays, drugs, abortion, contraception, gambling — you name it, he hates it. Buchanan is a worthy peddler of hate. He is also in harmony not only with the prejudices and superstitions of a good part of the population but, to give him his due, he is a reactionary in the good sense — reacting against the empire in favour of the old Republic, which he mistakenly thinks was Christian.
    Brown speaks for the party of man — feminists can find another noun if they like. Thomas Paine, when asked his religion, said he subscribed only to the religion of humanity. There now seems to be a polarising of the country of a sort that has never happened before. The potential fault line has always been there, but whenever a politician got too close to the facts of our case, the famed genius of the system would eliminate him in favour of that mean which is truly golden for the ownership, and no one else. The party of man would like to re-establish a representative government firmly based upon the Bill of Rights. The party of God will have none of this. It wants to establish, through legal prohibitions and enforced taboos, a sky-god totalitarian state. The United States ultimately as prison, with mandatory blood, urine and lie-detector tests and with sky-godders as cops, answerable only to God, who may have just sent us his Only Son, H. Ross Perot as warden.
    For once, it’s all out there, perfectly visible, perfectly plain for those who can see. That Brown and Buchanan will not figure in the election does not alter the fact that, for the first time in 140 years, we now have, due in part to their efforts, the outline of two parties. Each knows the nature of its opposite, and those who are wise will not try to accommodate or compromise the two but will let them, at last, confront each other.
    The famous tree of liberty is all that we have ever really had. Now, for want of nurture, it is dying before our eyes. Of course, the sky-godder never liked it. But some of did — and some of us do. So, perhaps, through facing who and what we are, we may achieve a nation not under God but under man — or should I say our common humanity?“

    I really think humans are DNA-modified primates. We are an alien experiment. They are our masters. They easily abduct us, experiment on us, and track us without our knowledge most of the time. Those big bug heads of theirs have very powerful minds that can paralyze us with just a look. It would be childs play to them to mentally control the leaders of the US military and intelligence agencies. And the leaders may not even consciously know they have ever interacted with aliens. And since the military leader is the president then either he is directly mind controlled or he is just manipulated by the intelligence agencies and military leaders. He did easily fall for that BS lie that Assad had chemically attacked his own people, which means he is fairly weak-minded and easily influenced.
    Without a violent overthrow of the government and an outright war against the aliens then we will definitely lose our precious planet and the few remaining humans will be alien slaves. Whistleblowers that lose their lives for spilling the beans are the ones I listen to. Most of the others just make a bunch of shit up and confuse us all which the government loves and so lets them live.     „ANIMAL POLITICS-Tens of millions of dogs are brutally tortured and killed every year in the Dog Meat Trade in China, Vietnam, South Korea, Indonesia, and Cambodia.“
    „n July 3rd, the Los Angeles City Council unanimously passed a resolution supporting legislation or administrative action that would request the governments of those countries to ban the sale of dog meat and enforce their animal cruelty laws. As stated in the resolution:
    “It is estimated that 10 to 20 million dogs in China, 5 million dogs in Vietnam, and one million dogs each in South Korea. Indonesia, and Cambodia are killed for food each year…

    The resolution still has to be approved by Mayor Eric Garcetti, but it is expected that he will do so, since he is a strong supporter of animal welfare.
    Over 500 people submitted public comments to the City Council in support of this resolution. See upper right-hand corner, “Communications from the Public.” There was not one comment I saw in the Council File opposing the resolution. More than 500 to 0 in favor.
    Many of the public comments were angry, including some that advocated for a boycott of countries involved in the dog meat and cat meat trade. Many were extremely sad, detailing the terrible lives and horrendous torture these animals are subjected to. Many expressed thanks to the Los Angeles City Council and Valley Alliance of Neighborhood Councils (VANC) for these resolutions. (The related VANC Resolution is available here.
    The best expression of what this resolution means to so many people, and their disgust and horror regarding the dog meat trade, is stated by those who submitted public comments.
    Below are excerpts from some of the comments submitted to the City Council, which are representative of hundreds of other comments.
    We respectfully request that the Consuls General and Ambassadors of China, Vietnam, South Korea, Indonesia, and Cambodia please take notice of what these people say regarding the treatment of dogs in your countries, and convey their comments, and the hundreds of other comments submitted to the Los Angeles City Council, to the relevant authorities in your countries:
    I would like to express my wholehearted support for resolution CF 19-0002-S101 introduced by Council member Bob Blumenfield and seconded by Council member David Ryu. Los Angeles is in a unique position via its considerable ties with South Korea to bring about the end of the dog meat trade in the country. This will hopeful trigger societal change in surrounding countries (China, Vietnam, South Korea, Cambodia and Indonesia) that together brutally kill up to 28 million dogs a year for food. Even if these dogs are ‚lucky‘ and are not killed by torture (blowtorch, hanging) in the belief that it makes their flesh more tender, the conditions they are kept in are hell on earth. In these sweltering countries they are crammed in cages that are thrown in and out of trucks with no regard for trapped limbs or space to move. Sometimes travelling for days at a time, their mouths are often taped shut so they effectively cook from the inside out – dying from heatstroke in transit – a painful but merciful release considering the alternative. If they make it to market, they are either starved or if they are raised on a dog farm – fed diseased, rotten meat (sometimes via a tube forced down their throats) – depending on if they are sold by weight or not. This must end. As a close ally, South Korea is a key starting point. President Moon Jae In is already a dog lover. He owns a Pungsan named Maru and a rescue dog called Tori who was destined for the meat trade. As a democracy the more South Korean politicians, business leaders and citizens we can influence through raising the issue of dog meat, the more we can reduce demand – to a point where President Moon Jae can stand on an anti-dog meat platform in future elections without being ridiculed. During the Korean War dogs were instrumental on the battlefield as scouts and as sentries – detecting threats and protecting American bases. For example, the 26th Infantry Scout Dog Platoon, trained at the Fort Riley, Kansas, was cited in General Orders in 1953 for saving countless lives via early detection, whilst the presence of dogs at bases undoubtedly lifted the spirits of Americans fighting on behalf of South Korea. The dogs of South Korea are no different to the pet dogs we have at home – in fact across Asia many dogs that arrive at market are stolen pets that still have their collars on. Imagine their confusion and heartbreak at being utterly betrayed by the human race. We must stop this now and show our South Korean friends and their neighbors that the dog meat trade is a cruel, backward and highly contentious issue whose existence will not be tolerated if we are to further strengthen our existing friendships.     Please pass this resolution to end what is the most debased and inhuman acts that should make every human ashamed and horrified. As a person who has owned several dogs, I am amazed at their ability to protect, serve, and love their human companions and families. They are intelligent creatures who know how to love. They provide lifesaving skills to those who cannot do on their own (e.g. for the blind, handicap, and those with other crippling diseases). They go to war and fight battles side by side by their human counterparts. They fight and help to capture criminals and protect the officers who protect us all. It is a travesty and horrific act of malice by humans to kill them in such barbaric ways for economic wealth through the dog meat trade. How can humans be so inhumane?     We all should be very proud of the South Korean activists who have taken the lead on this issue, and Los Angeles can take particular pride in the fact that its Councilmember David Ryu is not only South Korean but, as one of the most influential Korean American office holders in the country, is a firm supporter of the proposed resolution. His support is important and will not go unnoticed in South Korea. His fellow countrymen will know that he is sharing American values with them and that they can trust the merits of the resolution presented to them. The kindness and humanity of these South Korean activists to man’s best friend puts the people of South Korea in a whole new and more favorable light which breaks down barriers between our countries, and the proposed resolution is an opportunity for Los Angeles to support these efforts both abroad and at home and, in doing so, to bring us closer to each other across the continents and unite us as we fight world-wide for a kinder, gentler world for companion animals who are so helpless, so loyal to us, serve us so well, and trust us so implicitly. Los Angeles is fortunate to have such a broad consensus of support across its Valley Alliance of Neighborhood Councils in support of this resolution and also to have such outstanding Councilmembers as Mr. Ryu and also Mr. Bob Blumenfield. Mr. Blumenfield, by the way, is gaining recognition across all 50 states among those of us fighting for animal rights. The dog meat markets are horrifying and need to be shut down, and our country’s historic ties with South Korea are strong enough and carry enough respect that there is good hope for a favorable response, which will put South Korea in the lead on this issue. Of all cities in our country, none enjoy better ties with South Korea than does Los Angeles, in terms of trade, tourism, and sister cities and sister rivers, and having a thriving South Korea community as so honorably exemplified by Councilmember Ryu. Los Angeles is ideally positioned to take the lead here in America on this important issue. This is not a controversial issue, certainly not here in America, and the tide is turning in Southeast Asia as well, but nowhere more so than in South Korea. The timing of the proposed resolution could not be better, and it presents an excellent opportunity for Los Angeles to speak for American values. Many people both here and the world over have worked very hard for a very long time to bring the matter to this turning point, and they now lay all their hard work at the feet of the Los Angeles city council, with a request to carry it over the goal line.     I am writing as part of the international effort to end the dog meat & cat meat trades in Asia. I am particularly interested in actions in the US because of the twinning/sister city links with South Korea, a country that is failing to educate many of its citizens to overcome their superstitious belief in the use of dogmeat to help humans during the hottest part of the year. To make things worse, you will know already that it is believed that the more the animal suffers the better its meat will be. This leads to gross acts of barbarism which any civilized country should be ashamed of.
    Unfortunately, there are no serious attempts by the S Korean authorities to uphold their own laws re. dog meat farms. Others will have supplied you with more detailed information which I
    need not repeat, but please take all possible steps to reinforce the disgust felt by people around the world at the inhumane and mindless slaughter of millions of cats and dogs. This has nothing to do with culture or tradition as something to be venerated: we have kept quiet for too long about too many things, being afraid of being called cultural imperialists. This has no value if the tradition is not underpinned by genuine ethics which uphold the positive aspects of a community. Cruelty and superstition are negative and stop human progress. Asian countries that wish to carry on trading with other parts of the world should know that their country’s name is blackened by association with cruelty, animal or human, and they face boycotts of their products, be it on a large scale or personal level.     Countless dog farms & slaughterhouses are scattered throughout, and they are hell on earth for the defenseless dogs & cats suffering there — Dogs & cats exist their entire lives in squalid, feces-encrusted raised wire cages in utter misery only to be slaughtered in the most horrific of ways – by electrocution, a hammer blow to the neck, being hung or beaten, bleeding to death from a slashed throat, being burned to death from a blowtorch, or thrown into a vat of boiling water while still alive.

We have all signed numerous petitions appealing to their governments to please stop this cruel and heinous crime against innocent dogs and cats. This is absolutely despicable and heartbreaking. A lot of the animals are stolen from their owners, and even if they’re not, they don’t deserve to be victims of this very sick and disturbing practice. … I understand it’s a different culture, but I don’t understand the cruelty involved.     Animal cruelty is a crime in many places around the world and it should also be in Asia.     „Had Friday’s 7.1 earthquake and other ongoing seismic shocks hit less than 200 miles northwest of Ridgecrest/China Lake, ten million people in Los Angeles would now be under an apocalyptic cloud, their lives and those of the state and nation in radioactive ruin.
    The likely human death toll would be in the millions. The likely property loss would be in the trillions. The forever damage to our species’ food supply, ecological support systems, and long-term economy would be very far beyond any meaningful calculation. The threat to the ability of the human race to survive on this planet would be extremely significant.
    The two cracked, embrittled, under-maintained, unregulated, uninsured, and un-inspected atomic reactors at Diablo Canyon, near San Luis Obispo, would be a seething radioactive ruin.
    Their cores would be melting into the ground. Hydrogen explosions would be blasting the site to deadly dust. One or both melted cores would have burned into the earth and hit ground or ocean water, causing massive steam explosions with physical impacts in the range of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. The huge clouds would send murderous radioactive isotopes into the atmosphere that would permanently poison the land, the oceans, the air … and circle the globe again and again, and yet again, filling the lungs of billions of living things with the most potent poisons humans have ever created.
    In 2010, badly maintained gas pipes run by Pacific Gas & Electric blew up a neighborhood in San Bruno, killing eight people. PG&E’s badly maintained power lines have helped torch much of northern California, killing 80 people and incinerating more than 10,000 structures.
    Now in bankruptcy, with its third president in two years, PG&E is utterly unqualified to run two large, old, obsolete, crumbling atomic reactors which are surrounded by earthquake faults. At least a dozen faults have been identified within a small radius around the reactors. The reactor cores are less than fifty miles from the San Andreas fault, less than half the distance that Fukushima Daiichi was from the epicenter that destroyed four reactors there.
    Diablo cannot withstand an earthquake of the magnitude now hitting less than 200 miles away. In 2014, the Associated Press reported that Dr. Michael Peck, the Nuclear Regulatory Commission’s site inspector at Diablo, had warned that the two reactors should be shut because they can’t withstand a seismic shock like the one that has just hit so close. The NRC tried to bury Peck’s report. They attacked his findings, then shipped him to Tennessee. He’s no longer with the Commission.
    All major reactor disasters have come with early warnings. A 1978 accident at Ohio’s Davis-Besse reactor presaged the 1979 disaster at Three Mile Island. The realities were hidden, and TMI spewed radiation that killed local people and animals in droves.
    Soviet officials knew the emergency shut-down mechanism at Chernobyl could cause an explosion — but kept it secret. Unit Four exploded the instant the rods meant to shut it down were deployed.
    Decades before disaster struck at Fukushima Daiichi, millions of Japanese citizens marched to demand atomic reactors NOT be built in a zone riddled by fault lines, washed by tsunamis.
    In California, ten thousand citizens were arrested demanding the same. Diablo’s owners hid the existence of the Hosgri Fault just three miles from the site. A dozen more nearby fault lines have since been found, capable in tandem of delivering shocks like the ones shaking Ridgecrest. No significant structural improvements have been made to deal with the newfound fault lines.
    The truly horrifying HBO series on Chernobyl currently topping all historic viewership charts shows just a small sample of the ghastly death and destruction that can be caused by official corruption and neglect.
    Like Soviet apparatchiks, the state of California has refused to conduct independent investigations on the physical status of the two Diablo reactors. It has refused to hold public hearings on Dr. Peck’s warnings that they can’t withstand seismic shocks like the ones now being experienced so dangerously nearby. If there are realistic plans to evacuate Los Angeles and other downwind areas during reactor meltdowns/explosions, hearings on them have yet to be held.
    In the wake of the 2011 explosions at Fukushima, the NRC staff compiled critical reforms for American reactors, including Diablo. But the Commission killed the proposed regulations. So nothing significant has been done to improve safety at two coastal reactors upwind of ten million people that are surrounded by earthquake faults in a tsunami zone like the one where the four Fukushima reactors have already exploded.
    There are no excuses. These seismic shocks will never stop. Diablo is scheduled to shut in 2024 and 2025. But massive advances in wind, solar, batteries and efficiency have already rendered the nukes’ power unnecessary. A petition demanding Governor Newsom and the state independently investigate Diablo’s ability to operate safely is at www.solartopia.org.

    We often hear people saying “I am feeling low”, “I feel some kind of negativity”, “this place is negative”, “I heard someone”, “I saw something” so on and so forth. All these thoughts, words, feelings and emotions point towards a negative presence or a negative entity.
    William J. Baldwin in his book, Healing Lost Souls: Releasing Unwanted Spirits from Your Energy Body, said, “Spirit possession or control by non-physical entity goes against our most basic human and spiritual rights.     Psychic intervention, spirit intrusions, negative vibrations, disruptions etc., these things impact our lives physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. These entities are spirit beings without a physical body, but are stuck in the middle world (Earth). They are looking for material gratification, which is impossible without a material body and therefore penetrate into people’s aura, which resonate with their frequency.
    From my experience, once in a personal session with a therapist, I was exposed to the presence of 17 entities in my aura field, who were feeding like parasites on my vital force, positive thoughts, giving me tail bone ache and promoting negativity in my life.
    I was even confronted with the fact that a few close relatives had sent these entities to harm me and distract me from my life path. I was short of breath for many years, causing me discomfort while sleeping and inability to focus on any specific task at all.
    The therapist carefully guided me to visit these entities and ask them their purpose, who sent them and whether they were willing to go back to the light or not. Some did not even know they were dead, but gradually in a few sessions she cast all of them away. But much to my surprise new entities kept attaching themselves to my aura field.
    On finding out, we came to know that I had openings in my chakras or portals that act like vacuums, sucking other people’s negative emotions and energy, this acted like a passage for the entities to come and stay.
    We closed the portal, and since then I am not experiencing any invasions, but still I visit the therapist time to time for regular cleansing, as the possibility of them entering cannot be nullified.
    Can we have negative entities in our aura?
    Unfortunately, the answer is yes. Almost all of us have some sort of negative entity existing in our auras. The number or size may vary but at a time one can hold many souls in their space, weakening the original soul inhabitant. The modern lifestyle leads to stress, anger, depression and lack of time for spiritual work.

    They will try to invade your space, time and again and stay with you, until it is cleansed.
    Sexual contact: The significance of sexual intimacy has been emphasized upon. The energy debris of other people’s aura can be left in the aura of another person with ease as the root chakras are connected, allowing a free flow of energy from one person to another. The entities have a free way into the body as the aura is open, making them susceptible to such invasions.
    Drugs & alcohol: Our consciousness has a lot to do with our ability to protect ourselves. Under the influence of drugs or alcohol, we lower our guards and our aura is exposed to the chances of being invaded.
    It is also said that both drugs and alcohol create holes in our aura. Holes in our aura can be created during surgeries, unconsciousness or trauma. When our aura is not whole, its ability to fight the negativity drastically reduces.
    Major loss: Soul loss has been spoken of earlier as well, where a person suffers from major loss in their life and a part of their soul in entrapped in the specific situation. With such a prolonged period of suffering, long bouts of anger and extended periods of stress, all of this can create holes in the aura leading to easy invasion.
    Low vibration: Negativity is strongly drawn towards other negative things, places, and people. If you are subjecting yourself to constant sprees of tension, worry, stress, anger, insecurities or jealousy, chances are you already have negative entities in your personal space.

    These entities affect us deeply and in ways we cannot even imagine. They are bound to create negative impressions, thought, behavior patterns etc.
    They will create physical pain or disease in the area they are stuck, causing improper functioning of the body. The illness caused by them might not have substantial medical proofs but the problem would seem to persist as it lies on the energy level.
