    Video abstract of an original research „Classification and Staging of Morgellons Disease: Lessons from Syphilis” published in the open access journal Clinical, Cosmetic and Investigational Dermatology by Marianne J. Middelveen, Roberto M. Martinez, Melissa C. Fesler et al.
    Introduction: Morgellons disease (MD) is a contested dermopathy that is associated with Borrelia spirochetal infection. A simple classification system was previously established to help validate the disease based on clinical features (classes I-IV).
    Methods: Drawing on historical and pathological parallels with syphilis, we formulated a more detailed staging system based on clinical features as well as severity of skin lesions and corresponding histopathological infection patterns, as determined by anti-Borrelia immunohistochemical staining.
    Results: Clinical classes I-IV of MD are further categorized as mild, moderate and severe, or stages A, B and C, respectively, based on histopathological findings. Stage A lesions demonstrated little or no immune infiltrates and little or no disorganization of cells; macrophages were not present, and hemorrhage was negligible. Extracellular isolated spirochetes and intracellular staining of keratinocytes in the lower epidermis was occasionally seen. Stage C lesions demonstrated positive staining of keratinocytes in the stratum basale and stratum spinosum and positive intracellular staining of macrophages for Borrelia. Aggregate Borrelia colonies were frequently encountered, hemorrhage was frequent, and intracellularly stained fibroblasts were occasionally seen. Stage B lesions demonstrated a pattern intermediate between Stages A and C.
    Conclusion: The enhanced staging system provides objective criteria to assess the severity of dermopathy in MD. Further studies are needed to determine the optimal treatment for MD based on this staging system related to Borrelia infection.

    Facebook schickte folgende Mitteilung an den Bezirksvorsteher:
    Leider wurde die Veröffentlichung deiner Seite Paul Johann Stadler rückgängig gemacht, weil sie die Nutzungsbedingungen für Facebook-Seiten verletzt. Das bedeutet, dass du die Seite noch sehen kannst, andere Nutzer sie aber nicht sehen können und du keine weiteren Personen hinzufügen kannst, die dir bei der Arbeit an deiner Seite helfen. Wenn du glaubst, dass es sich hierbei um einen Fehler handelt, teile uns das bitte mit.

    Ein konkreter Grund für das „Rückgängig“-Machen der Seite wurde nicht angegeben. Stadler erfuhr lediglich, dass er die „Nutzungsbedingungen für Facebook-Seiten verletzt“ habe.
    Ein Blick auf die Seite von „Paul Johann Stadler“ (wie der Account heißt) zeigt aber nirgends eine Verletzung auf.
    Im Gegenteil: Stadlers letzte Einträge sind sogar völlig unpolitisch und nur der Hilfe für Menschen in der Corona-Krise gewidmet. Ein Bezirksrat, der Einkaufshilfe für eine kranke Frau leistet, ein Bezirksvorsteher, der gratis
    MNS-Schutzmasken an seine Bürger verteilt.
    Anschwärzen im Dirty-Campaigning-Stil
    Die Facebook-Seite von Bezirksvorsteher Paul Stadler zählt zu den erfolgreichsten unter den Simmeringer Politikern.
    Wem war das unangenehm? Hat jemand den Bezirksvorsteher einfach ohne Grund bei Facebook angeschwärzt und Dirty Campaigning, also Schmutzkübel Werfen, betrieben? Anders wäre die Sperre nicht zu erklären.

    Mit Spannung wird erwartet, ob Facebook die Sperre der Seite des Bezirksvorstehers von Simmering erklären kann. Und wie lange Facebook benötigt, um die Seite wieder online zu stellen.
