    „Certains [disaient] que la mortalité était très faible. En d’autres termes, que cela concernait seulement 3 % des rats, poursuit Linda Birnbaum. M ais avec cinq ou six milliards de personnes dans le monde qui utilisent des téléphones portables, une augmentation de 3 % représenterait un grand nombre de personnes présentant un risque accru de tumeurs cérébrales.“ Initialement, l’étude avait été commandée en 1998 par la FDA (Food and Drug Administration), l’Agence fédérale américaine des produits alimentaires et médicamenteux. Ce n’est que vingt ans plus tard, en 2018, que les conclusions sont enfin publiées, non sans difficultés.“
