„So it was a strange world with everything happening and no explanation for what had happened. Gradually it became obvious that the human being had to have some type of internal existence which would carry with it faith and hope in his material life.
Gradually we find the rise of various beliefs. Probably some of the earliest were Shamanistic—the belief in spirits and ghosts, all this type of thing.
All these believings came not from a carefully studied planned exploration of nature, they came from a desperation of an individual or group of individuals, struggling desperately for hope to escape from loneliness, to no longer be an isolated creature in an unknown world.
The human being was very much like a castaway on a desert island.
He had no resources available to him except what he could contrive with his own ingenuity.
As time went on there was inevitably a demand for some type of organized faith, faith in realities that were not visible. But how was the primitive man going to analyze invisible realities? How is modern man going to analyze them? Actually, it all seems to have arisen within the person himself.
The desperate need resulted in a kind of solution— a solution that was sufficient for a moment, but for which it was always hoped would be improved and perfected in the course of time.
This temporary solution is still the answer that we have to use, but with all our progress, all our skills, all our intellectualism, the individual is still lonely.
He is still comparatively helpless, in a world infinitely too great for him.
Now he not only has to combat nature or adjust to its circumstances, but he must try to survive
the complex situations set up by human nature, in this little domain we call the Earth.
So altogether our beginnings of faith, hope, and love lie in the desperate need for something that was superior
to self, something stronger than we are, some ever-present help in time of trouble.
Trouble was common, help was scarce.
The individual went through countless miseries and misfortunes, but there had to be some hope, something to sustain the struggling creature in its long evolutionary path.
Then came up of course Shamanism…the medicine priest with the rattle…
Then in other parts of the world other type of help gradually evolved.
But these different forms of healing had their foundation in the human demand for hope, and the only way he could find hope, apparently, was through a strange contrivance with familiar
and apparently hopeless elements.
The American Indian in the Southwest, for instance, was very much concerned with creating charms, various good luck symbols, protective symbols, and yet he had no way of knowing really what would protect him or where he would find anything that was sufficient. (Manly P. Hall)“

So from faith came a great development of beliefs and ideals. These were not always provable or demonstrable, but that was not important. It was not whether or not you could scientifically sustain them; the real answer was that people accepted them, believed in them, deposited in them hope for the future—faith in the power of something to protect. As time went on, religions and philosophies became more complicated, it was inevitable that efforts should be made to rationalize faith, to bring it under the control of reason. It was apparent that if the mind supported the faith it was stronger. And so we have all kinds of philosophies, mysticisms, esotericisms, and every type of
intellectual interpretations of natural phenomena. We have it today, but today we are in a little difficulty.
Knowing that faith basically is the very cornerstone of survival, we find that many forms of knowledge,
particularly scientific knowledge, exist largely to destroy faith.
They want to take away from us the belief in those very invisible principles upon which we have learned to depend for peace of soul and peace of mind and peace of heart.
So in this confusion a great many persons have lost their spiritual orientation.
They have lost their ability to accept the fact that there is a universal good, a universal reality, that life is purposed. That there are reasons for things. And as gradually as the sciences limit the perspective and force the individual in to a constant acceptance of material things as the only realities, as this goes on faith dims, hope fades away, and the individual is reduced to a state from which he escaped ages ago by rising above the level of materialistic primitive existence. Early Sumeria and the Origins of Kingship
One of the interesting items from the archives of the Dragon Court was the origin of the word ‚kingship‘. It derives from the very earliest of Sumerian culture wherein ‚kingship‘ was identical with ‚kinship‘ – and ‚kin‘ means ‚blood relative‘.
In its original form, ‚kinship‘ was ‚Kainship‘.
And the first King of the Messianic Dragon succession was the biblical ‚C(Kain)‘, head of the Sumerian House of Kish.

Sumerian and Babylonian King-Lists reveal the belief that “kingship” was “sent down” from “heaven” – decreed by the gods.
Many indigenous antic cultures followed the same tradition, including the Xiongnu, Scythians and Saka. Dynastic lists of pre-diluvial Sumerian kings were later re-catalogued in Babylon by Priest-Scribes.
The Egyptians also produced and monumentalized King-Lists, documenting the lineage of the Houses of their God-Kings in stone for all of Eternity. A name remembered was an afterlife assured.
The Dragon King was known as the King of Kings and his symbol, Draco, represented his succession through the Egyptian pharaohs, the Egyptian Therapeutae, the Qumran Essenes to the Merovingian kings of Europe.

The Pendragons
The Druidic Dragon King or Pendragon, also called the King of Kings, was chosen by a Council of Elders to rule over all the kingdoms.

The image of the intrepid Messeh evolved to become the Dragon, which in turn became emblematic of mighty kingship.
The Celtic Kings in Britain were called ‚dragons‘ in the ancient Messeh tradition as intrepid guardians. But there were many separate kingdoms in those days before England gained an overall monarch in Saxon times.
It was therefore necessary to appoint a King-of-Kings – a High King to preside overall, and to lead combined armies from different tribal areas.

After the Merovingian dynasty was deposed by the Roman Church in 800 AD, their demonic bloodline was preserved by the “Imperial and Royal Dragon Court” which conspired to regain control of the Holy Roman Empire through infiltration of Church and State.
Their insignia was the dragon in the form of a circle and a red cross – the Rosy Cross of the Priori de Sion, the Knights Templar and the Rosicrucians.
“When the Imperial and Royal Dragon Court was reconstituted by King Sigismund in 1408 as the Societas Draconis, it was based upon an ancient bloodline tradition which Sigismund assumed that he had inherited from his presumed Egyptian and Scythian ancestors through the Pictish, Dragon Princess Maelasanu of Northumbria and the Ancient and Original Angevin Royal House of Vere of Anjou, the Imperial Dukes of Angiers.
This line had descended through the Tuatha de Danaan (the Dragon Kings of Anu) on the one hand, and the Egyptian Dragon Dynasty of Sobek on the other. The latter strain included the bloodline of the Davidic House of Judah who married into the descent of the Merovingian Kings of the Franks.
In 1408 (when Britain was in her Plantagenet era), the Dragon Court was formally reconstituted as a sovereign body at a time of wars and general political turmoil.

Many historians have presumed therefore that the Knights Templars must have disbanded in Scotland, but this was not the case; it was simply that Bruce had contrived the secret Order to become even more secretive.

„Hitting the Reset Button on Aging Cells
Today, we chronicle the progress of OSKM and discuss how this powerful treatment may be able to reprogram cells back into a youthful state, at least partially reversing the hallmark of epigenetic alterations and other hallmarks as well.
The birth of cellular reprogramming
In 2006, a study by Drs. Takahashi and Yamanaka showed that it was possible to reprogram cells using just four master genes named oct4, sox2, klf4, and c-myc, or OSKM for short [1]. Prior to this, it was assumed that egg cells (oocytes) would contain a complex array of factors needed to reprogram a somatic cell into becoming an embryonic cell. After all, the feat of transforming an aged egg cell and reprogramming it to make a new animal must be controlled by many factors present in the egg cell, or so they thought.
Takahashi and Yamanaka turned this idea upside down when they showed that just four factors were needed to achieve this transformation using OSKM to reprogram adult mouse fibroblasts (connective tissue cells) back to an embryonic state called pluripotency, a state where the cell behaves like an embryonic stem cell and can become any other cell type in the body.
This discovery paved the way for research into how these programming factors might be used for cellular rejuvenation and a potential way to combat age-related diseases.
Cellular and animal rejuvenation
In 2011, a team of French researchers, including Jean-Marc Lemaitre, first reported cellular rejuvenation using OSKM. During their life, cells express different patterns of genes, and those patterns are unique to each phase in a cell’s life from young to old; this gene expression profile makes it easy to identify an old or young cell. At the time, it was also known that aged cells such as fibroblasts have short telomeres and dysfunctional mitochondria, two of the nine proposed hallmarks of aging.
Jean-Marc Lemaitre and his colleagues tested the effects of OSKM on aged fibroblasts from normal old people and also from healthy people over 100 years old. They added two additional pluripotency genetic factors to the OSKM mix, namely NANOG and LIN28, and examined the effect that this had on the gene expression, telomeres, and mitochondria of these older people.
They discovered that together, the six factors were able to rapidly reprogram these cells from old donors back into a pluripotent state; these were to be known as induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs). The researchers noted that the cells had a higher growth rate than the aged cells they had been reprogrammed from; they also had longer telomeres as well as mitochondria that behaved in a youthful manner and were no longer dysfunctional.
The final step for the researchers was to then guide the iPSCs to become fibroblasts again using other reprogramming factors. These fibroblasts no longer expressed the gene patterns typically associated with aged cells of this kind but instead had a gene expression profile indistinguishable from those of young fibroblasts. In addition to this, they also showed that telomere length, mitochondrial function, and oxidative stress levels had all reset to those typically observed in young fibroblasts.
This was the first evidence that aged cells, even from very old individuals, could be rejuvenated, and this was followed by a flood of independent studies confirming these findings in the same and other types of cells.
Could this be done in living animals?
While it had been demonstrated that aged cells could be rejuvenated in a petri dish in the lab, many researchers considered translating this to living animals to be impossible, as the continuous expression of OSKM was known to induce cancer in animals . This was to change in December 2016.
Professor Juan Carlos Izpisua Belmonte and his team of researchers at the Salk Institute reported the conclusion of their study, which showed for the first time that the cells and organs of a living animal could be rejuvenated. The researchers made this short video to explain this huge breakthrough in aging research.
For the study, the researchers used a specially engineered progeric mouse designed to age more rapidly than normal as well as an engineered normally aging mouse strain. Both types of mice were engineered to express OSKM when they came into contact with the antibiotic doxycycline, which was given to them via their drinking water. They allowed the OSKM genes to be expressed by including doxycycline in the water for two days then removed it so that the OSKM genes were silenced again. The mice then had a five-day rest period before another two days of exposure to doxycycline; this cycle was repeated for the duration of the study.
After just six weeks of this treatment, which steadily reprogrammed the cells of the mice, the researchers noticed improvements in their appearance, including reduced age-related spinal curvature. Some of the mice from both experiment and control groups were also euthanized at this point so that their skin, kidneys, stomachs, and spleens could be examined. The control mice showed a range of age-related changes compared to the treated mice, which had a number of aging signs halted or even reversed, including some epigenetic alterations. The treated mice also experienced a 50% increase in their mean survival time in comparison to untreated progeric control mice. It should be noted that not all aging signs were affected by partial reprogramming, and if treatment was halted, the aging signs returned.
Perhaps most importantly, while the partial reprogramming conducted in this periodic manner reset some epigenetic aging signs, it did not reset cell differentiation, which would cause the cell to revert to an embryonic state and forget what kind of cell it previously was; as you can imagine, this would be a bad thing in a living animal.
Finally, not only did OSKM expression at least partially rejuvenate cells and organs in progeric mice, but it also appeared to improve tissue regeneration in the engineered 12-month-old normally aging mouse group. The researchers observed that the partial reprogramming improved these mice’s ability to regenerate tissue in the pancreas, resulting in an increased proliferation of beta cells; additionally, there was an increase of satellite cells in skeletal muscle. Both types of cells typically decline during aging.
The future potential and challenges ahead
By far, the biggest hurdle to translating partial cellular reprogramming to people is the need to find a way to activate the OSKM factors in our cells without needing to engineer our bodies to react to a drug such as doxycycline. Doing this may require us to develop drugs capable of activating OSKM, editing every cell in our body to respond to a particular compound like doxycycline, which would be extremely challenging though plausible, or even editing the germline so that our children are born with such a modification to respond to a chosen compound, an idea that is an ethical nightmare to even consider not to mention the technical challenges of doing so successfully. Whatever the solution is, it needs to be practical.
The other major hurdle is to find a method suitable for the long term that does not require constant upkeep, lest the aging signs return rapidly, as they did in mice when treatment was interrupted. While there is some reason to believe that these signs would not return as rapidly in people given the differences between mouse and human metabolisms and our superior repair systems, it would likely return in due course. So, finding a cost-effective way to keep the cyclic treatment going is paramount; this could potentially be achieved using drugs or transient gene therapy.
Conclusion
Assuming that these barriers can be overcome, and the rapid advances in biotechnology offer a reason to think that they will, then partial cellular reprogramming could feasibly hold a great deal of potential for preventing or even curing the diseases of aging.
One might envision the early, first-pass use of this approach in a preventative way: older people at risk of age-related diseases could be given partial reprogramming in order to halt or at the least significantly slow down this aspect of aging and thus reduce their risk of developing age-related diseases.
More refined stages may see it being used in a more focused manner to repair a certain organ or tissue damaged by injury or disease. In another, more advanced, scenario, the gradual whole-body rejuvenation of older people might be attempted in order to totally prevent age-related diseases and keep them healthy, active and able to continue enjoying life.
The rapid progress of medical technology could potentially mean that such cellular reprogramming therapies may become available in the not too distant future. We certainly hope so.
