On day 11 of Putin’s invasion, the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine has posted a tweet claiming air defense specialists had shot down a Russian attack aircraft. The incident took place on the outskirts of Chernihiv, a city in the northern part of Ukraine, on Saturday, March 5.
The Ukrainian Air Force said that five Russian aircraft and 4 helicopters were downed on Saturday, March 5. Ukraine claims a total of 44 Russian planes and helicopters have been brought down.
On Saturday, three Russian helicopters were shot down by Ukrainian forces in the Mykolaiv region in the southern part of the country.
