„Soviet Union or East Germany with the Stasi, you said anything out of line, you ended up in jail…or in a Sanatorium.. or in a Gulag somewhere, the same was true of the Nazis and the Gestapo and the SS… this is historically.. this is the way how totalitarian states operate…Gathering knowledge of People and the entire population is a totalitarian procedure.. so that´s why I opposed it since they started it in 2001.
This is the domestic threat…no other country in the world could have done to us, what we have done to ourself. This is the time when all good Americans need to stand up and approach this. You have to be aware that these Agencies are threatening what is fundamental to human rights everywhere and you got to ensure that somewhere is verifying and keeping these agencies in line. … When you weaken Firewalls and weaken operating systems and weaken encrypt systems you open everybody up to hackers around the world… They are working against each other. After all NSA doesn´t have a monopoly on smart people, other agencies around the world have smart people too… If there is a weakness in a firewall or operating system other people can find it too and that´s how they can break into it…“
