    about why that is, they have streched what used to be a single person working household where one person would go out and work the other person would take
    care of the house and the children everything else they now stretch that to everybody in the house has to work to
    make ends meet including the children that come of age to go work, so now instead of having one person work you have possibly three people working –
    four people working just to make ends meet and so the person knowing subconsciously that they are a servant to a system that they don’t agree with
    wants that entertainment and their entire focus and drive becomes on money or entertainment they both kind of go hand in hand on the
    so when you start to remove that entertainment factor people get upset because that is what was keeping them going knowing that their servants to a
    broken system knowing that there should be more to life than just slaving away and then getting a little bit, a little treat at the end of the day a little
    restaurant at the end of the week, a little wash my car at the self-serve carwash on Saturday, a little mow my lawn so I can say look at this green grass
    instead we should have Gardens in every house and you’re going to get back to that remember Victory Gardens were a thing you should have no debt or as
    little debt as possible and you should be able to be semi-autonomous semi- self-sufficient know how to cook your own food know how to grow your own food
    know how to hunt your own food if that’s something that you deem necessary know how to protect yourself from violence
    these are things that will be quickly relearned but under extreme trauma and chaos, supermarkets are limiting items on the shelves to four items per person
    this is including supermarkets like Aldi what was a reservoir for people to go out and get bulk low-cost goods is now limiting four items.“

    “If one even considers it possible that the United States had a hand in creating the coronavirus at what remains of its once extensive biological weapons research center in Ft Detrick Maryland, it is very likely that Israel was a partner in the project.     billion around 2030 and India around 1.7

    „I’m actually from Cambridge Ontario…so it’s a bit of a homecoming to talk about a global book and what this book
    is about is what John and I like to call vertical knowledge, it’s that thing that everybody knows. We just all repeat it
    and it may not be correct and the vertical knowledge in this instance is that the world’s population according to
    the UN is going to get to 11 point 2 billion people by the year 2100. I think John and I make a pretty convincing
    argument in the in the book that this is never going to happen, we will probably get somewhere between 8 and 9 billion people, you might argue that that’s already too many people, but it’s certainly not 11 billion people probably
    around mid-century and then the human population is going to start to decline and it’s not going to stop and the
    reason is because we’ve stopped having kids. We’ll get into a cup in a couple of minutes why that is that we stopped
    having kids, but to have a replacing population you need to have at least 2.1 children born for each woman in a
    country, so that means that you need a little for yourself, someone to replace you, someone to replace your partner and
    a little bit extra for those who won’t or can’t have kids.
    Canada right now has a birth rate of about 1.6, China has a birth rate of 1.5 and India has a birth rate of 2.1, they’re now at replacement level by the way 36 percent of the world’s population lives in two countries China in India
    and if they’re not having kids there aren’t any other places that are going to have enough kids to replace them so
    this is going to put us in a position by the time we get to mid-century in which the population as I said is going to
    peak somewhere between 8 and 9 billion and then start to decline and how far the decline will go will only can depend
    on the number of children that we decide to have in fact most of the population growth that’s taking place in the world
    today is coming as a result not of people being born and arriving in our population but people living longer and
    not leaving and the problem and the problem of course when you have a lot of people hanging around for a long time is
    that they’re not in the particularly fertile production years of their lives in the sense that they’re not having kids so we’re reaching this point in human history in which the first time in any time that human beings have existed on the face of the earth and at a global level that we’re actually deciding, deciding to have a smaller population…countries like Brazil, the 5th largest country in the world is at 1.8.“

    across every religion in the world believes that women should be subordinate to men and that women should you know have lots of children and stay at home and look after the family, it’s remarkable how many religions believe this, it would be accepted all major religions are dominated by men but one
    and and in the rural environment religion is powerful but once you move into the city the power of religion begins to decline….well the Philippines is urbanizing and by the way it’s fertility rate is crashing at them same time..Clan ceased to be important..when you’re living in the village
    environment that big extended family places a tremendous pressure on you to get married, to settle down, to have kids
    to do all those things when you move to the city the power of the clan is replaced by coworkers they’re the ones
    you spend most of your time with when was the last time one of your co-workers urged you to have a baby, so urbanization
    produces an economic disincentive to have children, it gives women power to make decisions about their bodies, it
    weakens the power of religion and it weakens the power of the clan and all of this leads to what we are seeing and what we described in the book which is rapidly falling fertility rates throughout those parts of the world
    where we would think in the UN still thinks you were going to continue to see high fertility rates.“

    population is going to start to decline, remember that the average of the median age of a person in China today is 37, back in 1950 the average Chinese person lived to the age of 42, by 2030 they’re going to live to the age of 80…but who is going to be the emerging demographic superpower when John
    mentioned geopolitics in all of this two countries number one is India. India has a very young population that is going to
    continue to grow for the foreseeable future, but even in India the population fertility rate is at a replacement
    level now so the young population will continue to increase the the Indian population but also increasing longevity
    in India will increase the Indian population so if India hasn’t already passed China in terms of population size
    today, it will in the next couple of years and through the course of the 21st century India is going to become the
    dominant, as Bbob was talking about,
    the dominant population power, but as India is growing, so is America. America’s birth rate is below two it’s about one
    point depend the estimates you look at 1.7 to 1.9…

    it what really five or six why is that well, I’m from five, my partner is from eight, so you know these expectations change the low fertility trap is also the result of why you have a child changing your not having a child because the state says it’s your duty to have a child the army needs you know men to fight you’re not having a child because God says you must be fruitful and multiply you’re not having a child because your family is pushing you to have a child, you’re having a child, because you want a child, you’re having a child and this is raise my eyebrows but in the sense you’re having a child as a lifestyle choice you and your partner decide that your lives would be more rich more rewarding more fulfilling if the two of you brought a child into the world and raised that child, it’s infinitely more important than you know whether you go to Ecuador this year or what kind of furniture you want for the living room, but it is a choice about what will fulfill you in your life and again most people find that they are very quickly fulfilled, one or two is usually enough, so the consequences of this, I think, down the road are going to be fascinating, we worry a bit about the loss of creativity that having fewer young people every
    year will have because you know trust me I know younger people are more creative than older people the the innovation the entrepreneurship that is so powerful among the young there may be less of it that said in the great scheme of things…Canada used to bring a lot of people from China, now not so much China is reaching developed world status

    Bundeskanzlerin Angela Merkel erklärte gestern auf einer Pressekonferenz, ihre Regierung gehe davon aus, dass sich
    60 bis 70 Prozent der Bevölkerung mit dem Coronavirus CoV-19 infizieren werden. Die Gleichgültigkeit gegenüber dem
    Schicksal von Millionen, die in ihrem Statement zum Ausdruck kam, ist atemberaubend.
    Sie erklärte, dass man verstehen müsse, „wenn das Virus da ist und noch keine Immunität der Bevölkerung gegenüber
    diesem Virus vorliegt, keine Impfmöglichkeiten existieren, auch noch keine Therapiemöglichkeiten, dass dann ein
    hoher Prozentsatz – Experten sagen, 60 bis 70 Prozent – der Bevölkerung infiziert werden, solange dieser Zustand
    so bleibt.“
    Viele der grundlegenden Tatsachen über das Virus sind noch immer nicht allgemein bekannt. Merkel vermied es, klar
    zu benennen, welche erschreckenden Implikationen ihre Erklärung beinhaltet. Fünf bis 20 Prozent der Coronavirus-
    Patienten erkranken an einer akuten Lungenentzündung. Ihr Überleben hängt davon ab, dass sie eine
    intensivmedizinische Versorgung und künstliche Beatmung erhalten. Wenn zwischen 48 und 56 Millionen Menschen in
    Deutschland an Covid-19 erkranken, benötigen bis zu 11 Millionen eine Intensivbehandlung. Mit weniger als 500.000
    Krankenhausbetten und einer Million Krankenpflegerinnen und -pflegern würde das Gesundheitssystem in Deutschland
    in dieser Situation rasch zusammenbrechen. Millionen Erkrankte, die verzweifelt nach Hilfe suchen, würden ihrem
    Schicksal überlassen. In Europa und weltweit würde die Zahl der Todesfälle auf mehrere Dutzend Millionen
    ansteigen.
    Experten haben mehrfach betont, dass es sich bei der Schätzung, dass sich bis zu 70 Prozent der Menschheit
    infizieren könnten, nicht einfach um eine Vorhersage handelt. Vielmehr ist es eine wissenschaftlich fundierte
    Warnung vor den Folgen, wenn nicht umgehend weitreichende Maßnahmen getroffen werden, um ein derart gewaltigen
    Verlust an Menschenleben zu verhindern.
    Der Coronavirus-Experte Dr. Richard Hatchett warnte im Interview mit dem britischen Sender Channel 4, dass sich
    zwischen 50 und 70 Prozent der Menschheit infizieren könnten. Weiter sagte er: „Ich mache nicht gerne Vorhersagen.
    Es ist wichtig, über das Potenzial des Virus‘ zu sprechen, damit man verstehen kann, wie gefährlich die Bedrohung
    ist. Es kommt auf die Gesellschaften der einzelnen Länder an, wie sie auf das Virus reagieren.“
    Hatchett betonte, es sei möglich, das Coronavirus zu bekämpfen, und verwies auf die sinkende Zahl neuer Fälle in
    China, Singapur und Hong Kong. Dort haben strenge Maßnahmen in den Bereichen Tests, Überwachung und Quarantäne die
    Ausbreitung der Krankheit durch die Isolierung und Behandlung der Erkrankten weitgehend gestoppt. Hatchett
    erklärte: „Das Virus ist da. Es hat enormes Potenzial, Schäden anzurichten und eine hohe Zahl an Erkrankten und
    sogar Toten zu verursachen. Aber es ist nicht so, dass ein solches Szenario unausweichlich ist.“
    Mit ihrer Presserklärung widersprach Merkel den Ratschlägen der Experten direkt. Sie erklärte, man müsse die
    Gewissheit akzeptieren, dass sich das Virus weiter unkontrolliert ausbreiten und schwere Schäden anrichten werde.
    Es ist bedeutsam, dass sie nicht zu einer massiven und weltweiten Mobilisierung von Ressourcen, der Wirtschaft und
    von medizinischem Personal aufrief, um die Pandemie weltweit zu bekämpfen. Stattdessen erklärte sie, Deutschland
    müsse eine „Überlastung“ seines Gesundheitssystems mit Coronavirus-Patienten vermeiden.
    Wenn man wisse, so Merkel, „dass es besondere Gruppen in der Bevölkerung gibt, nämlich Ältere und Menschen mit
    Vorerkrankungen, die einen schwereren Verlauf dieser Viruserkrankung haben können, dann bedeutet das, dass das
    Vorgehen davon bestimmt sein muss, dass wir unser Gesundheitssystem nicht überlasten.“
    Wie dies geschehen solle, erklärte Merkel nicht. In Frankreich weisen Krankenhäuser schon jetzt jüngere
    Coronavirus-Patienten ab, um sich auf die Behandlung älterer, besonders gefährdeter Patienten zu konzentrieren. In
    den Krankenhäusern in Italien werden Beatmungsgeräten inzwischen nur noch bei jüngeren Patienten eingesetzt,
    wodurch schwer erkrankte Patienten über 80 dem Tod überlassen werden. Wenn sich 70 Prozent der Menschheit mit dem
    Virus infizieren, bedeutet ein Vorgehen, durch das eine „Überlastung“ der Krankenhäuser vermieden werden soll,
    dass allein in Deutschland dutzenden Millionen Menschen die medizinische Behandlung verwehrt wird.
    Die Arbeiterklasse muss alarmiert werden. Nur durch den Einsatz von Quarantäne und massiver finanzieller Mittel im
    Gesundheitssektor kann eine katastrophale Pandemie verhindert werden. Dafür ist es notwendig, die Arbeiterklasse
    politisch unabhängig in Kämpfen zu mobilisieren. Dass dies derzeit nicht geschieht, liegt in erster Linie daran,
    dass eine solche Mobilisierung den finanziellen und politischen Interessen der herrschenden Klasse zuwiderlaufen
    würde. Über Jahrzehnte hat diese durch unablässige Sparmaßnahmen, die insbesondere das Gesundheitssystem und
    andere wichtige soziale Dienste getroffen haben, enormen Reichtum angehäuft und Polizei und Militär aufgerüstet.
    Merkels „Prioritäten“, die sie in der Pressekonferenz auflistete, stehen mit dieser Politik in engem Zusammenhang.
    Sie erklärte: „Wichtig ist, dass alle staatlichen Ebenen arbeiten können. Das gilt für die Polizei, das gilt für
    die Bundeswehr, das gilt für die kritische Infrastruktur, das gilt für politische Entscheidungen, dass die
    medizinischen Möglichkeiten genutzt werden können … Und es geht dann darum, dass wir das wirtschaftliche Leben
    einigermaßen aufrecht erhalten können.“
    Solche Erklärungen zeigen nicht einfach Inkompetenz, sie sind politisch kriminell. 75 Jahre nach dem Untergang des
    Dritten Reichs herrscht innerhalb der Finanzaristokratie eine faschistoide Haltung gegenüber der Arbeiterklasse,
    die an den Umgang mit den Galeerensklaven im antiken Rom erinnert: Arbeite bis du stirbst.
    Nachdem die Wirtschaftsoligarchie das wirtschaftliche Leben seit dem Wall-Street-Crash von 2008 durch Austerität
    organisiert hat, um ihre eigenen Aktienportfolios durch Finanzspritzen in Billionenhöhe aufzublähen, ist sie nun
    bereit unzählige Millionen Arbeiter sterben zu lassen, solang ihre eigene Gesundheit und ihre enormen
    Papiervermögen gesichert sind. In einem Artikel unter der Überschrift „Ausbruch des Coronavirus: Superreiche
    setzen sich in Katastrophenbunker ab“ („Super-rich jet off to disaster bunkers amid coronavirus outbreak“)
    berichtete der britische Guardian, wie die Reichen „Privatjets“ chartern, die sie zu „Ferienhäusern oder extra
    angelegten Katastrophenbunkern“ bringen. Sie ergriffen die Flucht aus Europa, um der „Einführung landesweiter
    Quarantänemaßnahmen nach italienischem Vorbild“ zu entkommen.
    Ohne Zweifel betrachten bedeutende Teile der herrschenden Klasse das Coronavirus als Geschenk Gottes. Der Tod von
    Millionen Alten und Kranken würde neue Kürzungsrunden im sozialen Bereich ermöglichen und weitere Milliarden in
    die Taschen der Wirtschaftseliten spülen. Diese Sicht liegt dem faschistoiden Anfall des CNBC-Finanzkommentators
    Rick Santelli von letzter Woche zugrunde. Santelli erklärte, man solle „einfach mal alle dem neuen Coronavirus
    aussetzen“, da die langfristige Unsicherheit der Märkte über das mögliche Ausmaß der Ausbreitung, „die
    Volkswirtschaften und die Weltwirtschaft ins Chaos stürzt“.
    Die Arbeiter in Europa und weltweit können ihr Schicksal nicht der historisch bankrotten herrschenden Klasse
    überlassen. Sie brauchen ein Programm, auf dessen Grundlage sie eine katastrophale Pandemie verhindern können. Zu
    den entscheidenden Forderungen gehören:
    Kostenlose und hochwertige Behandlung für alle! Es müssen Ressourcen bereitgestellt werden, um alle Menschen,
    unabhängig von Einkommen und Krankenversicherung, auf dem höchsten Niveau medizinisch zu versorgen. Ältere
    Menschen, Gefängnisinsassen, Obdachlose und Flüchtlinge, die in unhygienischen Lagern festsitzen, benötigen
    umgehend besondere Schutzmaßnahmen.
    Quarantäne zur Eindämmung des Virus! Um Millionen Menschen in den kommenden Wochen und Monaten vor Infektion und
    Tod zu schützen, müssen alle notwendigen Quarantänemaßnahmen eingesetzt werden. Gleichzeitig müssen die
    demokratischen Rechte und die persönliche Würde aller Menschen respektiert werden. Arbeiter, Kleinunternehmer und
    ihre Familien, die aufgrund von Quarantäne zuhause bleiben, müssen soziale Unterstützung, Nahrungsmittel und Güter
    des täglichen Bedarfs erhalten.
    Für den Aufbau unabhängiger Betriebs- und Nachbarschaftskomitees! Arbeiter müssen sich zur Koordinierung und
    Mobilisierung ihrer kollektiven Stärke unabhängig organisieren, um sicherzustellen, dass die notwendigen Maßnahmen
    ergriffen werden. Das Schicksal der Menschheit darf nicht dem Polizeistaat der Finanzaristokratie überlassen
    werden, deren einziges Ziel darin besteht, die Aktienmärkte und ihr Vermögen zu schützen.
    Ein Gesellschaftssystem, das nicht nur dabei versagt, die Gesundheit der Bevölkerung sicherzustellen, sondern den
    Tod von Millionen ungerührt mit einkalkuliert, muss beseitigt werden. Die kapitalistische herrschende Klasse
    entzieht sich jeglicher Reformen. Für die Arbeiterklasse ist die sozialistische Umgestaltung der Gesellschaft
    jetzt eine Frage von Leben und Tod.“
