Ein aktueller Bericht der US-amerikanischen Security-Firma Crytohippie zeigt, dass Deutschland zu den zehn Staaten der Welt gehört, in denen Bürger in Bezug auf die IT-Nutzung am stärksten überwacht werden. Insgesamt hat das Unternehmen 52 Länder unter die Lupe genommen. Wenig überraschend sind die Spitzenreiter des Negativ-Rankings: China (Platz 1), Nordkorea (Platz 2), Weißrussland (Platz 3) und Mütterchen Russland auf dem vierten Platz. Jetzt wird es allerdings interessant, denn unter den Top 10 befinden sich auch drei europäische Länder. Die Briten überwachen ihre Bürger demnach am stärksten und haben sich damit den 5. Platz erkämpft, gefolgt von den Franzosen auf Rang 9 und Deutschland auf Platz 10.“
