„Abstract:
Nano-machines circulating inside the human body, collecting data on tissue conditions, represent a vital part of next-generation medical diagnostic systems. However, for these devices to operate effectively, they need to relay not only their medical measurements but also their positions. This article introduces a novel localization method for in-body nano-machines based on the magnetic field, leveraging the advantageous magnetic permeability of all human tissues. The entire proposed localization system is described, starting from 10×10 μ m magnetometers to be integrated into the nano-machines, to a set of external wires generating the magnetic field. Mathematical equations for the localization algorithm are also provided, assuming the nano-machines do not execute the computations themselves, but transmit their magnetic field measurements together with medical data outside of the body. The whole system is validated with computer simulations that capture the measurement error of the magnetometers, the error induced by the Earth’s magnetic field, and a human body model assuming different possible positions of nano-machines. The results show a very high system accuracy with position errors even below 1 cm.“

Brain-inspired neuromorphic computing and portable intelligent electronic products have received increasing attention. In the present work, nanocellulose-gated indium tin oxide neuromorphic transistors are fabricated. The device exhibits good electrical performance. Short-term synaptic plasticities were mimicked, including excitatory postsynaptic current, paired-pulse facilitation, and dynamic high-pass synaptic filtering. Interestingly, an effective linear synaptic weight updating strategy was adopted, resulting in an excellent recognition accuracy of ∼92.93% for the Modified National Institute of Standard and Technology database adopting a two-layer multilayer perceptron neural network. Moreover, with unique interfacial protonic coupling, anxiety disorder behavior was conceptually emulated, exhibiting “neurosensitization”, “primary and secondary fear”, and “fear-adrenaline secretion-exacerbated fear”. Finally, the neuromorphic transistors could be dissolved in water, demonstrating potential in “green” electronics. Abstract
The Internet of Bio-Nano Things (IoBNT) is an innovative field of research located at the intersection of nanotechnology, biotechnology and information and communication technologies. It aims to enable the seamless integration of biological and nanoscale systems into the Internet in order to develop advanced biomedical applications, environmental monitoring sensors and energy-efficient networks. At the core of IoBNT are biocompatible nanodevices that can function in living organisms to monitor or modify specific biological processes in real time. These devices communicate with each other and with the Internet to collect, process and transmit data, opening up entirely new possibilities for health monitoring, disease control, environmental protection and many other areas. By merging biology and nanotechnology, IoBNT promises to push the boundaries of what is technically possible while improving the efficiency and sustainability of technological solutions.
DNA-based nanonetworks are a promising concept and implementation technology for the IoBNT. In this approach DNA is manipulated to form structures known as tiles, which self-assemble to much more complex structures such as nano devices and even full nano networks which function autonomously. Such networks communicate through molecular messages which are, in the very same way, also made of tiles. Such messages are even able to perform computations which can be used for disease creation (MORGELLONS!!! CRIMINAL BASTARDS!!! DNA-TROJAN INSERTS OF EVIL SYNBIO WITH PATHOGENIC EFFECT!!!) detection and treatment. (NAZI-EUGENICS)
In this talk, we will give a brief introduction into the IoBNT, but will then mainly concentrate on DNA-based nanonetworks. We introduce the basic principles, especially DNA tiles, self assembly, and in-message computation. We explain, using a few examples, how such networks can be of use in medical applications, e.g. by dispensing medication exactly at the position in the body where it is needed. Finally we present first ideas for wet lab experiments and give an outlook on future work.

…is a full professor in Computer Science at the University of Lübeck, Germany, and the director of the Institute for Telematics. His research interest is currently focused on network and distributed system structures such as ad-hoc and sensor networks, Internet of Things, Smart Cities and nano communications in these fields. He has (co-)authored more than 200 scientific books and articles.
